Celebrating our Ancestors

To all -

As part of my efforts in revamping our image to make others see us as people of culture, substance, imagination, and focus, I am working on a plan to make use of a number of original sketches sent to me by a well-known Prisoner of Conscience in Mannheim, Germany. 

I will tell you more about that effort later. For now, let's just say that I have collected more than 1,000 of those sketches produced under inhuman duress! What a treasure trove of inspiration those sketches are going to be in the future!

One of my all-time favorites is an early sketch, still done in that dismal prison in the Toronto West Detention Centre in Canada. The history of that sketch is going to be one of the historical markers of our struggle against systematic political demonization. For a while, I have been sending copies of that sketch to loyal supporters as Thank You mementos. One of them has recently returned it to me - accompanied with guitar music.

I offer you a quiet moment of reflection.
